Special Processing Requirements
Juice Processing. (a) Requirements of this section shall apply to manufacturers of cannabis-infused juice to be sold as either 100% juice or to be used as an ingredient in other products. The requirements of this section do not apply to manufacturers of infused beverages that use non-infused juice as an ingredient.
(b) Manufacturers of juice shall prepare a written juice hazard analysis and control plan in accordance with the requirements of 21 CFR, Part 120, subpart B, (Rev. January 2001), which is hereby incorporated by reference. Authority: Sections 26012; 26013, and 26130, Business and Professions Code. Manufacturing of cannabis-infused dried meat products shall be conducted in accordance with the United States Department of Agriculture FSIS Compliance Guideline for Meat and Poultry Jerky Produced by Small and Very Small Establishments: 2014 Compliance Guideline (Rev. 2014), which is hereby incorporated by reference. Meat for processing into dried meat products shall be acquired from a commercially-available source.
