Facebook Censorship Cannabis Continues
Facebook Censorship Cannabis Continues – Facebook announces an end to the shadow banning and muzzling of the cannabis industry. WELL FACEBOOK IS FULL OF SHIT…here we go, we published this article a couple of days ago. Paying Attention – Receipts? The first paragraph of the piece is
“Paying Attention – Receipts? – we are somewhat baffled and concerned having published four posts that contain over 12,000 words on a topic that is of critical importance to everyone that is involved in the “touch the plant” part of the legal cannabis industry in California. The subject is receipts and the information contained on them. It may not seem all that significant, but it has the potential to cause an incredible amount of pain and even displacement within the industry. Our observation is that very few of the receipts we have seen…whether we are talking about the receipts that cultivators get from purchasers of flower and trim to the simple receipts that retail customers receive from a dispensary purchase of an eighth have contained insufficient or incorrect information, and that is a problem, actually it is a time bomb waiting to explode.”
We would certainly assert that the post is very strongly worded reminder to Distributors and Dispensaries in California that they had better get their asses in gear and man up on their responsibilities for the remittance of Cannabis Cultivation Tax [“CCT”], Cannabis Excise Tax [“CET”] and Sales Tax that they owe to the California Dept. of Tax and Fee Administration [“CDTFA”].
We highlighted the importance of providing receipts to anyone that a cannabis company does business with that reports out all of the different taxes paid and provides specific identifiers for the business.
So after completing the posting of the article, we decided to spend some advertising $$ and attempted to “boost” the post. We Facebook responded with this. There is only one conclusion we can come to…FACEBOOK IS FULL OF SHIT, and the review was done by machine
We appealed and requested a manual review.
Here is the appeal we submitted and the response we received,…it goes back and forth a number of times.
There you have everyone…and I have a substantial amount of experience in dealing with this automated bullshit…next step is contacting someone within Facebook’s Legal Dept. and asking them if they really want to litigate this one. We have taken them to Court three times before and as if a miracle has occurred they change their minds and allow the post to be boosted. What the hell we are CPA’s sell the service of assisting with taxes. CDTFA has a Cannabis Page on Facebook.
We aren’t asking for much, merely that if Facebook is serious about permitting the Cannabis industry advertising, then HEADS NEED TO COME OUT OF BUTTHOLES, SHIT CLEANED OUT OF EARS, and they need to permit businesses to advertise without going through an encounter with Torqumada
